- Test For Factory hood switch:
– Pull the hood release and turn the ignition on.
– “Hood Ajar” will appear on the dash if it has an OEM switch.
If your vehicle does not have an OEM hood switch: it is strongly recommended to install a hood pin (sold separately) to prevent accidental remote start and injury while the hood is open. Contact us to learn more.
